- Philadelphia Futures was founded in 1989.
- The first Sponsor-A-Scholar (SAS) class was recruited in 1990.
- Of the more than 803 students who have completed the high school portion of Philadelphia Futures’ SAS Program, 97% enrolled in college within two years of their high school graduation.
- The overall retention rate (persistence from first year to second year of college) of SAS students is 84%.
- The potential college graduation rate for SAS students is 63%.
- There are currently 200 students in the high school portion of the SAS Program.
- There are currently 190 SAS students attending college.
- Three hundred and fifteen (315) SAS students have earned undergraduate degrees.
- Since its inception, Philadelphia Futures has raised over $5.5 million in sponsorship funds to directly benefit the students it serves.
- Close to 750 mentors have volunteered for the SAS Program.
