Strategic Partnerships for Admissions and Retention

Philadelphia Futures has formed  strategic partnerships with colleges and universities that understand the value of a diverse student body and are committed to providing Sponsor-A-Scholar (SAS) students with comprehensive support and scholarship aid. We’ve been in partnership with Gettysburg College since 2001 and Dickinson College since 2002. In 2007, Drexel University committed its support and in 2011, Lafayette College became our latest college partner. 

These collaborations have resulted in over $11 million in financial and scholarship aid to SAS students, along with significant on-campus services to support our students’ postsecondary success. 

Philadelphia Futures also has partnered with The Brook J. Lenfest Foundation since 2003. The Foundation provides “last dollar” scholarships to SAS students attending Penn State University and Temple University. In addition to the financial assistance provided by the Foundation, Penn State and Temple provide support services to our Lenfest Scholars.

The relationships we share with our partner schools are mutually beneficial. Our partner schools benefit by having a more diverse student body and the ability to offer a richer educational experience to all students, and our Sponsor-A-Scholar students receive life-changing opportunities.
