Existing Partnerships
Philadelphia Futures has long-term relationships with many area colleges and universities that support SAS students while in high school and make it possible for them to attend college. A strong network of higher education partners has been formed to provide intensive summer, on-campus academic enrichment experiences, as well as a full range of college exploration activities including campus visits, workshops in college selection, admission and financial aid, and the opportunity for dual enrollment in college-level courses.
Colleges offering support and resources to SAS high school students include Drexel University, Eastern University, Haverford College and Rosemont College.

In addition, Philadelphia Futures has formed significant strategic relationships with Gettysburg College, Dickinson College, Drexel University and Penn State University.
Gettysburg, Dickinson, and Drexel offer significant financial aid and support services to SAS students accepted to their schools for admission. Thirteen students have received their degrees from these schools and 29 more are currently enrolled.
In 2002-2003, The Brook J. Lenfest Foundation announced its intention to provide “last dollar” funding to students who will attend Penn State University at the University Park and Abington campuses. In addition to the financial assistance being provided to the students by the Foundation, Penn State has committed to provide support services for the Lenfest Scholars through the University’s Equal Opportunity Program.
The relationship between Philadelphia Futures and each of these schools offers great opportunity for SAS students and the colleges.
