Prospective Student Orientation – By Invitation Only

These sessions are offered to new students who have completed the initial SAS interview and who have been invited to participate in this next step of the SAS admissions process.
Mentor Roundtable & Activity Expo

This session will focus on tips and techniques to foster conversation and to strengthen the connection between you and your student. We will also host our first-ever “Mentor Expo,” with information about activities and outings that are enjoyable and engaging for high school students (and you, too!).
New Parent Orientation – By Invitation Only
Wednesday, March 31st, 2010
5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
This session will familiarize parents/guardians of new students with program benefits, opportunities and requirements. All new parents of the Class of 2013 who have not yet participated in an orientation session are asked to attend. Refreshments will be served.

“College Applications and Financial Aid”

These special sessions meet on designated Mondays to assist seniors in the college admissions process. Contact Jennifer Carroll at 215-790-1666 ext. 15 for a detailed class schedule.

SAT Prep Class

Classes meet once a week. Attendance and assignment completion are required for all SAS juniors. If you have any questions, please call your SAS Coordinator.
Sophomores

Freshman Seminar
“Dream. Plan. Do: Academic Readiness and Career Exploration”

Thursdays through May 20th.

Plan to attend the Freshman Field Trip to the Philadelphia Zoo on Wednesday, March 10th. Please bring your signed permission form. Attendance at all field trips is required. Please call your SAS Coordinator if you have any questions.

Tutoring
Math tutoring is offered on Mondays from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Philadelphia Futures office.
Chemistry tutoring is offered on Thursdays from 4:00 -5:00 p.m. at the Philadelphia Futures office.
If you need tutoring in another academic area, please contact your SAS Coordinator.
