A 2011 Sponsor-A-Scholar graduate, Eric King finished his associate degree at Community College of Philadelphia and then went on to receive his bachelors degree in criminal justice from Temple University this past December. A journey that lasted more than ten years, Eric has overcome Eric great obstacles to receive this achievement. From navigating health issues Kingto family crises and working full-time as a security guard at two different Sponsor-A-Scholar, Class of 2011businesses while in school, Eric has proven that with determination and Community College of Philadelphia,perseverance, anything is possible, especially his college dreams.Class of 2018 With his college degree in hand, Eric hopes to attend graduate school Temple University, Class of 2021 and become a mental health counselor.This past December, Heather Cook, a Class of 2018 Sponsor-A-Scholar student, graduated from Boston University a semester early with a Bachelorof Science in Behavior and Health, and a minor in Human Physiology. During her last semester, Heather held a 3.9 cumulative GPA and during her undergraduate career, Heather worked several part-time jobs.Heather After receiving acceptances from multiple schools, Heather decidedCookto attend Emory University, where she will be pursuing her Master ofSponsor-A-Scholar, Class of 2018Nursing (MN) Pathway to Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a Boston University, Class of 2021specialty in Family Nurse Practitioner and a projected graduation in fall Emory University, Projected 2024. With this degree, Heather hopes to reduce healthcare inequalitiesGraduation Date of 2024 and improve accessibility to care for those in need.Blohwettee Kofa, a Class of 2017 Sponsor-A-Scholar student, graduatedfrom Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania this past December 2021with his bachelors in psychology and a minor in Chinese. Blohwetteewas an excellent student at Bloomsburg, who took advantage of his resources at Futures. During his last year of college, he was able to build connections with his new College Success Advisor at Philadelphia Futures, Chantel Jones, and various faculty and staff of his university. SinceBlohwettee Kofagraduation, Blohwettee has been preparing to become a Pennsylvania Sponsor-A-Scholar, Class of 2017 State Trooper. He is also looking into graduate school programs for his Bloomsburg University, Class of 2021 masters in counseling studies. Blohwettee plans to travel and potentially become an interpreter with the use of his Chinese minor.4'
